Build in public · Receipt #01 · baseline dated June 26, 2026

We sell "Get Picked by AI." So we asked AI to find us.

The whole pitch is that we make a business show up when AI does the searching. The honest test of that pitch is to run it on ourselves — out loud, dated, before we've fixed a thing. So we did, across two engines. Here's exactly what AI returned, including the part that doesn't flatter us.

By Carter Studio, a brand of Carter Enterprise LLC. We measure who AI picks; we don't sell rankings.
The one-line version

On June 26, 2026, AI did not name us — and we published that before fixing anything.

Neither of our brands was named by AI for the queries our customers would actually type. That's not a confession we're hiding — it's the starting line of the exact climb we sell. Most agencies would never show you this page. Showing it is the product.

A dated before-and-after on ourselves beats any testimonial we could buy.
Why publish the unflattering version

The one thing you can't fake is a dated self-audit, in public.

Anyone can buy a five-star review. What you can't fake is a before-and-after on yourself, in the open, where the numbers can embarrass you. A brand-new company has no client receipts yet — so the first receipt we can honestly show is our own climb. If we can move our own score from "not cited" to "cited," in the open, that proof is worth more than any review. And if we can't, you'll see that too. That's the deal.

The test · the same one we'd run for you

Ask AI the buyer's question. Record who gets named.

The industry's own playbooks recommend exactly this: run your key queries through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI and document where you're cited versus where competitors are. So we ran ours — on two engines.

Lane 1 — Carter Studio · "best med spa St. Charles, MO"

Engine (June 26, 2026)Who AI namedCarter Studio?

The businesses get surfaced through directories and reviews — but the question of who makes a local business AI-ready has no named answer yet. That empty space is the opening Carter Studio is built for. We don't get to claim it by saying so; we claim it by getting cited for it. Step one is admitting we're not — yet.

Lane 2 — Alpha Vault (our education brand) · "honest, no-hype crypto education"

Engine (June 26, 2026)Who AI namedAlpha Vault?
Google AI OverviewBinance Academy, Coinbase Learn, Coursera/edX, MIT OpenCourseWare, Andreas Antonopoulos, Coin Bureau (11 sites cited)NOT NAMED

The useful part: AI didn't just list names — it spelled out why it trusts them: honest risk disclosure, balanced views including the downside, no guaranteed-returns, no price-prediction hype. That's our positioning word for word. So the path isn't to become something we're not — it's to make the proof of what we already are loud enough for AI to pick up. A winnable climb.

The climb · what we're doing in public

The real levers to get cited — ticked off in the open.

These are the same GEO levers we'd pull for a paying client. Each is a checkbox we'll mark on this page, dated, as we go.

  1. Consensus across sources. AI cites a name when it sees the same story in several independent places — our own site, plus reviews, mentions, and discussion. One website saying we're good isn't enough; the web agreeing is.
  2. Answer-first, citable content. Lead every page with the direct answer, add a TL;DR, Q&A and data tables, and put a visible author and date on it. AI lifts the first 1–2 sentences of a section — so those sentences have to be the answer.
  3. Specific numbers, not vibes. "We moved a med spa's Get-Picked score from 41 to 78 in 30 days" beats "we help you get found." Specific, dated, sourced claims are what AI quotes.
  4. Earned mentions. Expert commentary and bylines in a short list of trusted local and industry outlets — relationship-built, not blasted.
  5. Freshness. Keep the evidence current and the date visible. A stale page loses to an updated one on the identical topic.
  6. This page itself. A dated, honest, structured case study is exactly the kind of source AI engines like to cite. The receipt and the strategy are the same artifact.
The re-test · the receipt that compounds

We re-run these same queries monthly and stamp the result here.

The movement — from not named, toward cited — is the proof. Not a promise of it. The proof.

This is what we'd do for you.

Carter Studio runs this exact test on your business — who AI names, reaches, prices and picks in your area — hands you the dated report, fixes the gaps, and re-tests so you watch your score move. You can see us run it on ourselves right here.

Honest scope: "Cited" means named in the AI/search answer to the stated query on the stated date; results vary by engine, location, and over time, and we don't control the engines. Baseline answers captured June 26, 2026 via Google AI Overview and Perplexity for the queries shown. We make no guarantee of a ranking, a citation, or revenue — the receipt is the dated before/after on this page. Carter Studio and Alpha Vault are brands of Carter Enterprise LLC. Educational/marketing; not financial, investment, or tax advice.
